Sue & Phil

Back in pre-covid times, I met up with Sue & Phil (and their charming little lad) at a local wine bar to discuss their Kings Arms wedding photography. Their main priorities being great food, great drinks and great company with country living themes. However Sue ended up referring to her wedding day as ‘last minute dot com wedding’ due to the ever-changing and short notice covid rules, despite all the months of planning. I’m so happy this lovely couple were able to have their stunning autumnal wedding day before we went back into lockdown. The guests commented on how it felt like Christmas as they were surrounded by fairy lights, a constant supply of gorgeous food & drink, and a specially chosen present for each guest during the speeches. Myself and my second shooter were kindly given a bottle of bubbly each too – I do love a prosecco! Sue & Phil are a couple with great taste and attention to detail, Phil had his shoes personalised with a stag to match the stag illustration on his wedding ring. Another nod to country living was the mens buttonholes being made from shotgun cartridges – which looked amazing. Another clever detail was the beautiful scented candles Sue had chosen to have in each room throughout the wedding day. It smelt so heavenly that I’ve put these candles top of my christmas list! In true 2020 style, we were forecast rain all day! Luckily Sue took it all in her stride and had her trusty Hunter wellies and umbrella to hand. Perfect timing as the rain stopped in time with the end of the ceremony. We were then able to capture confetti photos and group photos in front of their beautiful floral arch by Simply Flower. No global pandemic or rainstorm was going to come in between Sue & Phil tying the knot!
