Hestercombe Wedding
Last year I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at Hestercombe House & Gardens. It was my first time shooting at this stunning venue, and I absolutely fell in love with its charm and character. The wedding was full of vibrant colours and DIY touches, which made it a truly unique and memorable celebration.
Alexandra had a brilliant idea to hire an Airbnb in Taunton for herself and her bridesmaids to get ready in comfort and style. It was only a short drive away from their Hestercombe Wedding, making it a convenient and stress-free option (as well as being beautiful for photos!). The Airbnb provided the perfect space for the bridal party to relax, prepare, and enjoy each other’s company before the wedding.
Hestercombe House & Gardens
The couple had chosen Hestercombe House & Gardens for its picturesque surroundings and the endless photo opportunities it provided. The venue features exquisite gardens, a beautiful lake, and a stunning orangery that made for the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony and reception. As a photographer, I was spoilt for choice and could not wait to capture all the beautiful moments.
Colourful, DIY Wedding
The super talented bride and groom had worked tirelessly to add their personal touches to the wedding decor, and it was evident in every aspect of the celebration. From the colourful floral arrangements to the handmade signs, everything was a true reflection of the couple’s personality and style.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the speeches, which were filled with emotions and happy tears. The groom could not hide his excitement and happiness on this special day. So much love and joy shared between the couple and their families and awesome group of friends, it was really lovely capturing these moments between them all.
After the speeches, we went to explore more of the beautiful grounds for photos of the Bride & Groom during the stunning light of golden hour. As the evening progressed, the celebrations continued with a lively dance floor and lots of laughter. The venue provided the perfect ambiance for the festivities, with one of the newlyweds friends on the DJ decks, the partying continued well into the night.
Somerset Wedding Day
It was a beautiful wedding filled with joy, love, and lots of DIY touches. Hestercombe House & Gardens proved to be the perfect setting for this colourful celebration. Alex and Niall, it was an absolute honour to capture your special day. Being a part of your wedding and witnessing the love and joy shared between you all was truly heartwarming.
