Kim & Ollie

It’s not very often that the groom-to-be contacts me to let me know he has organised the perfect place for their Hampshire Engagement Photoshoot! I drove to meet Kim & Ollie at a little country lane, leading onto a pretty little stream. We had a lovely evening in the sunshine – having a stroll along the stream, armed with a picnic basket and champagne, before heading to the most picture-perfect fishing lake! WOW – It looked just like a backdrop from a classic rom-com, all that was missing was Hugh Grant to row by! Your engagement photoshoot is a great opportunity to get to feel more relaxed having your photo taken – although this was not a problem for Kim & Ollie – Absolute naturals!

Photoshoot Tip #1: Please always feel welcome to take a bottle of bubbly with you to your engagement shoot. I’m not encouraging alcoholism but having something to do always helps you feel much less awkward and makes more fun photos too. I’m keen to photograph an epic champagne spray sometime soon – although I feel I made need some waterproofs for that one!

Photoshoot Tip #2: Just like Kim & Ollie did, it great to put in some thought into your outfits by wearing similar colours/tones with a similar vibe. Pastels and neutrals always look great. Although more important is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you are wearing!

Coming to my blog soon will be Kim & Ollie’s beautiful Kings Somborne Parish Church wedding! Featuring lots of lavender, hay bales and bicycles, mixed with fine wine, champagne and live music during their marquee reception in beautiful field by the groom’s parent’s home.
