Laura & Gregg
I do LOVE a Gordleton Mill wedding! A restored 17th-century flour mill nestled on the banks of Avon Water in the heart of the New Forest. Their secret gardens were described by The Times as “one of the most picturesque of any hotels in Britain” and are the perfect backdrop for your photos. With art and sculptures hidden around each corner, it’s a beautiful venue packed with heaps of personality. It attracts awesome couples too – just like Laura & Gregg. I first met this lovely couple at The Mill at Gordleton wedding open day last summer and met the next day to talk wedding plans at our local pub (we happen to live in the same town).
I started the morning with Laura and her bridesmaids at the lovely little cottage owned by The Mill at Gordleton. It’s perfectly positioned right next to the secret gardens and wedding marquee. The girls enjoyed the sunshine and a few glasses of bubbly in courtyard before having their hair styled by Laura’s talented sister-in-law. It was the hottest day of the year (so far) but the girls took it all in their stride and with smiles on their faces! A very emotional moment for Laura’s Dad when he saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.
Gregg and Laura tied the knot in the beautiful gardens, and had a big surprise for all the guests…. Alpaca ring bearers! A big hit with everyone and were perfect for selfies after the ceremony. Myself and my second shooter had so much fun capturing this Gordleton mill wedding, they were such a great crowd. After capturing some dance moves, we led the guests away from the bar to the fairy light walkway where we had a sparkler tunnel for the newly weds.
Laura & Gregg, thank you so much for having me capture your beautiful Gordleton Mill wedding! Your full gallery will be live on my client galleries in a few weeks time. But for now, here is a small sample of your very special day.
