I first met Hannah when she was a Bride-to-be at a Mill at Gordleton wedding showcase. We had a lovely chat and Hannah mentioned her fiancé was a wedding photographer. I guessed Kirk already had a photographer in mind for their special day so I was happily surprised with an email a couple of days later asking if they could book me to do their Gordleton Mill wedding photography. I later found out they had also booked a couple of supplier friends of mine – Rachel from Love By Design Weddings to do the venue decor and Raechelle from Enchanted Beauty Bournemouth to do make-up and hair. Including myself that’s a lot of Rachel’s & Raechelle’s – at least you’re unlikely to forget our names!

There was a wonderful calm atmosphere whilst Hannah, her bridesmaids and mum all got ready. Hannah even made time for a run in the morning sunshine. My second shooter met Kirk outside whilst he greeted their guests and made sure everything was ready for their stunning outdoor ceremony. The gardens were beautifully decorated and had lots of personal touches including some of Kirk’s vintage camera’s and lots of hidden frogs! Hannah and Kirk have a pond in their garden, which is home to many frogs…Hannah actually hates frogs but takes lots of photos of them and shares on her Instagram. So it was a personal joke to have toy frogs as part of their wedding decor – LOVE THIS!

With Kirk’s wedding photographer inside knowledge and their relaxed attitude, they were so easy to photograph. And more than happy to pop out for a few minutes to make the most of the gorgeous golden hour light. It was such a beautiful day, so I’ll let my photos do the rest of the story telling…
