Frankie & Jen

I first met Frankie & Jen when Frankie was bridesmaid at her cousin Olivia’s wedding to Tim at Knighton House last year. I was over the moon when Jen emailed me saying she loved my work and would I capture their ‘non-traditional’ Bournemouth wedding.

They had a small private ceremony at Bournemouth Town Hall with their parents followed by photos on the beach and a big garden/house party at a nearby airbnb with all their friends and family in the evening. We met up for a coffee a few weeks before the wedding and to chat about their plans. I suggested taking a bottle of bubbly to the beach for a toast with their parents and some fun candid photos. After weeks of rain, the sun came out and it was the perfect summer’s day. Bubbly on the beach and paddling through the sea was great for cooling down – fab for photos too! I joined the bride’s again in the evening. The airbnb was easy to find with a giant rainbow balloon, matching the girls gay pride rainbow socks! Tashe-Mae events had been busy helping decorate the venue and keeping everyone’s bubbly topped up all night! Guests could help themselves to some super tasty street food by Flaming Peaches (possibly the best burgers I have ever eaten, the thought of it is making my mouth water!) and delicious italian ice-cream from Giggi Gelateria’s ice-cream bike.

Frankie & Jen, thank you so much for having me capture your AMAZING day! You were both so much fun and I loved every second! Their full gallery will be live on my client galleries in a couple of weeks time – yippee! But for now, here is a small sample of their very special day.

If you’re engaged (congratulations!) and planning your special day, maybe a same-sex Bournemouth wedding too, please feel free to contact me here.
