“You can’t control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out.” All forecasts leading up to Joel and Daniela’s special day were predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms, even on my way to their Alderholt church ceremony it was still forecasting a thunderstorm right in the middle of when we had planned to do group photographs at Damerham Hall. But not one drop of rain hit the ground, instead we were blessed with the most beautiful sunshine all day for their Dorset wedding!
Bride getting ready at home in Ringwood with bouquet and dress
I started the day with the bride, Daniela, and her lovely bridesmaids at her home in St. Ives near Ringwood. Daniela wore a stunning lace dress and sash from Isobel’s Bridal & Groom in Parkstone with her bridesmaids in beautiful blue lace midi dresses by Chi Chi London at Asos. Whilst I was capturing the morning with the ladies, Louise from Louise Emily Photography was with the groom, Joel, and his best men and parents.

Daniela and her father arrived at Alderholt Church in a lovely classic red Mini. It was almost identical to the first car that Joel owned!

Happy tears from Bride with Father-in-law at Alderholt Church

It was a beautiful ceremony at Alderholt Church filled with joyful singing, heartfelt prayer and lots of emotion – from happy tears as Daniela walked down the aisle, to tears of laughter as Joel cheered after they said ‘I do’.Praise and singing at Alderholt ChurchBlack and white photo of singing, children and a selfie at Alderholt Church

The whole day felt completely relaxed, personal and fun – which you can see by all the smiles on everyone!

Daniela is Italian and there were plenty of wonderful Italian influences throughout the day – Giggi‘s Ice-cream was served after the ceremony, they hired a Jalopy Pizza truck for their wedding breakfast at Damerham Hall. As well as gummy pizza’s for wedding favours and all toasts were washed down with shots of limoncello!

As you can see the beautiful Italian food and drink was going down very well with the guests! Next were the speeches which were the perfect mixture of humour and sentiment. Joel’s younger Brother created a hilarious slideshow of embarrassing family photographs from Joel’s childhood, which were also hung up around the venue for everyone’s amusement.

Speeches and reception fun at Damerham Village Hall

Damerham Village Hall is surrounded by beautiful trees, a quaint little bridge and a lovely stream. I was over the moon that the dreaded rain never arrived so we were able to do all our group photographs outside in the gardens and we had lots of fun doing so! Group photo fun at Damerham Hall Reception

I adore Joel & Daniela’s couple shots, so much gorgeous greenery! During their pre-wedding shoot we stopped of at Ringwood Forest after Damerham Hall, and I was so excited when they said they wanted to take a detour to the forest after the wedding ceremony!

Joel is part of a band with other members from his church, who surprised him by setting up their band set to get the party started after the first dance! After lots of singing and dancing (especially some amazing moves by Father of the Bride!) the happy couple then exited through a tunnel of sparklers where their carriage awaited.
